We have a well-established, and continually growing, team of over 150 staff and 45,000 members across both our Gungahlin and Ainslie clubs, some of which have been with us for more than 30 years!As a well-recognised and reputable Club Group in the ACT, the Ainslie Group has received a variety of awards for our contribution to the local community. Most recently we were awarded with three accolades by Clubs ACT for Sustainability and Environment, Heart of the Community, and Contribution to Sport, Community Development and Wellbeing.We are currently seeking new team members to make an impact as a full-time Duty Manager, leading our teams at Gungahlin Lakes Golf and Community Club and/or Ainslie Football and Social Club with passion and expertise!ObjectivesThe key objectives of the Duty Manager role are to drive excellence in customer service, manage staff effectively, and spearhead day-to-day operations of the club. The successful candidate for the role will be working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders in the daily duties of the role, and will work on prioritising positive member experiences through everyday interactions.Key ResponsibilitiesWork efficiently within a key leadership role, supporting your team to always succeed, while providing outstanding customer service.Actively leading by example in all areas, ensuring best outcomes for business.Supervise and direct staff in operational areas, ensuring a high standard of service to customers, and professional resolution to any complaints.Complete all financial tasks accurately and in a timely fashion, including the precise completion of end of day and opening checks and balances.Comprehensive incident reporting following club policy and procedures.Assist in all gaming related operations, including clearance, payouts, and compliance.Adhere to WHS policy and procedures.Monitor staff levels and adjust roster accordingly for optimum day-to-day operation.Verify all shifts for payroll.Maintain RSA/RCG standards and apply appropriate measures to resolve any issues.Understand and actively engage in any promotion, communicating with staff and members, and referencing supporting material where necessary.Maintain venue and personal presentation to the highest standard.Any other duties as listed in the PD for the role, or as directed by Senior Management.Duty Manager Position RequirementsMinimum of two (2) years experience in a management role within the hospitality industry.Demonstrated experience in direct leadership of a large, varied team.A team player, who can lead by example and motivate the team to gain a high level of staff engagement, encouraging a positive culture.Can provide clear communication, both written and verbal, to gain positive results.A lively and dynamic individual with a keen eye for customer needs and delivering memorable experiences.Someone with a passion for food and beverage trends who is constantly developing their knowledge of industry.RSA, RCG, and gaming proficiency.Immaculate grooming and hygiene standards.Diploma in Hospitality, or working towards, will be highly regarded.Additional Employee BenefitsEmployee assistance program.Opportunities for career progression across a wide range of specialisations.Training and development opportunities.Supportive team environment.Discounted food and coffee on rostered workdays.Free parking.Additional club benefits.APPLICATIONS:If you feel you have the skill set to take on this management role within one of Canberra's leading club groups, please submit your resume, stating relevant experience, on the Seek portal.The Ainslie Group is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages candidates from all backgrounds, ethnicities, genders, sexualities, disability statuses, and other personal characteristics to apply.Please note, a Police Check will be required as part of the onboarding process for the successful candidate.Your application will include the following questions:Have you completed a qualification in hospitality?How many years of people management experience do you have?Do you have customer service experience?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?Have you worked in a role which requires a sound understanding of OH&S/WHS?How many years' experience do you have as a duty manager?Do you hold a current Responsible Conduct of Gambling (RCG) certificate?To help fast track investigation, please include here any other relevant details that prompted you to report this job ad as fraudulent / misleading / discriminatory.#J-18808-Ljbffr
