THE ROLE Be responsible for estimating tender quotes and ensuring that tenders are accurate and submitted on time for various construction remediation projects across Australia. You will also be responsible for:
Prepare and develop accurate cost estimates Compile accurate material quantity take-offs to develop bills of quantities Assist preparing and developing construction methodologies, programs and submission documentation Develop estimates from first principles using site productivity rates Prepare risk and opportunity including cost escalation analysis for estimates Review designs and engineering specifications for cost effectiveness and suggest alternatives where applicable Hand over detailed tenders with traceability and support into pre-contracts and delivery ABOUT YOU Previous experience in estimating in Defence, Construction and/or building remediation Strong interpersonal skills, confidence, professionalism and self-motivation A strong financial and commercial acumen High level attention to detail and the ability to work to set timeframes while multitasking Capability to present your estimates to Senior Management for approval to submit Actively seek additional information or clarification through RFI's to the Client to ensure a complete set of tender documents Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or similar equivalent Please submit your resume today and one of our friendly recruiters will be in touch with next steps.
