Find purpose and impact
As the Event Support Officer you will be a key team player in supporting local event organisers to arrange public events on public land; build and develop the skills and capacity of local event organisers and advocating best event management practice.
Your attention to detail and exceptional time management skills will ensure the timely remit of event permits and the collection of data to help measure social, cultural and economic benefits of events held in our community.
You will understand the importance of utilising the ever changing social and digital environments as well having the opportunity to build great networks with both internal and external stakeholders.

You'll make an impact by:
Working closely with event organisers and advocating best practice event management Promoting events using a diverse range of marketing touch-points Managing data to measure the impact of event activity Ensuring positive internal and external stakeholder relationships are built and maintained What you'll bring
To thrive in this role, you will need:
A Certificate IV in Marketing, Tourism, Communications or a related discipline or equivalent experience in a marketing or communications role Demonstrated superior level of written and oral communication skills with an attention to detail Demonstrated experience in marketing or knowledge and effective application of digital communications including websites and social media Demonstrated experience of event delivery and production of events - preferably large scale Demonstrated high level of customer service and problem solving skills Superior administration and organisation skills including meeting management and reporting We would also love you to have:
Experience or interest in graphic design.
Experience in administering funding programs and associated communications.

This position offers an attractive annual salary ranging from $71,401 to $82,981.
