Responsibilities:Help transfer materials from truck to jobsite in construction site conditions.Load, transport, unload, and furnish experienced craft workers with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.Assist Mechanic with assigned tasks; hanging and securing drywall, position and install metal studs.Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing of materials and work pieces during installation.Use appropriate hand tools (i.e.
hammer, screwdriver, wire strippers, wrenches) and power tools (i.e.
drills, threading machine, grinders, saws) to fit and install all types of materials and components.Maintain a clean work area and protect structures or surfaces near work areas to avoid damage.Restock supplies and materials as necessary.Measure, cut, and bend materials to the right size with degrees of supervision.Mix compound to desired consistency.Clean and prepare surfaces for applications of materials, such as by drywall taping.Perform any other routine duties as directed by experienced craft workers.May include working at heights or in trenches or excavations as needed.Education:High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)Preferred Skills and Abilities:Basic hand and power tool skillsAbility to read and use measuring tools such as tape measureAbility to work and communicate with othersAnalyze information and evaluate problemsAbility to safely work at heightsAbility to learn and follow our extensive company safety policyWork safely with all members of the crewWillingness to travel, with frequent overnight stays.
