While it takes a team of over 500 people to operate GMA's three mine sites, ten processing plants, five recycling facilities, and 13 offices around the globe, the legacy of innovation and core values continue to pass down throughout each generation.
POSITION PURPOSE To operate mobile and fixed plant at the highest standard to help ensure the safety, production and maintenance outcomes are met.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES |OPERATIONS Attending all pre-start and toolbox meetings, and any other relevant meetings as required.
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping in work areas.
Performing pre-start inspections and reporting defects on mobile plant and equipment.
Carry out logistical and warehousing activities including product storage and loadout.
Operate packaging equipment in accordance with GMA procedures.
Maintain and Safely operate the plant by controlling, monitoring, adjusting, fixing, recording, cleaning and improving all sections of the dry plant.
Operating mobile plant and equipment in accordance with GMA procedures.
Actively participating in all training and verification of competency processes.
Completing other tasks within training and capability as directed.
Commit to increasing knowledge and skills in line with GMA's Competency Matrix SKILLS AND SELECTION CRITERIA | RELEVANT QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE DESIRABLE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL Nationally recognised trade certificate (Electrical or Mechanical).
A Certificate III in Resource Processing or equivalent.
First Aid ticket.
Nationally recognised tickets for role-specific plant and equipment or acceptable competency & authority to operate.
SKILLS AND SELECTION CRITERIA | ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Proven commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for self and others and complying with appropriate safety operating procedures.
Proven ability to efficiently operate forklift in a safe and productive manner.
Ability to understand mineral processing in a fixed plant environment.
Sound interpersonal skills and communication skills including both oral and written.
Demonstrated experience working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplined team to achieve production and safety goals; or autonomously as required.
Proven ability to follow instructions and deliver the intended outcome.
Relevant experience with role-specific plant and equipment, essential.
Mining industry experience, highly desirable.
