About Us The Magistrates' Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.
The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 percent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year.

About the Role Offered on a fixed-term contract from 8 January 2025 through to 6 March 2026, the Drug Court Registry Manager will lead and supervise Drug Court registry staff across four distinct Magistrate Court locations including regional Victoria.
The Drug Court Registry Manager is responsible for delivering responsive high-quality services by monitoring demand pressures, performance outputs, identifying service gaps and implementing effective and innovative solutions in line with the principles and objectives of the Drug Court.
Key Accountabilities: Exercising powers conferred to Registrars under the Magistrates' Court Act 1989Managing and overseeing the delivery of DCV registry services and quasi-judicial functions in accordance with appropriate policies and court operational practices, ensuring DCV resourcing is appropriately managedLeading, developing and regularly appraising staff and being responsible for their training and ongoing professional development to maximise performance, enhance service delivery and ensure career paths are achievedInitiating, building and enhancing key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including the judiciary, the Drug Court multidisciplinary team members and a range of community-based organisations.Providing high level, complex, appropriate and authoritative advice on all matters coming within the Drug Courts jurisdictions to key internal and external stakeholders and represent the Drug Court in various forums, groups and committees as directedDeveloping, evaluating and promoting the ongoing and continual improvement of new documents, materials, policies and procedures that enhance DCV operations, and assist in achieving the Court's strategic and operational objectivesAbout You: Certificate in Court ServicesDemonstrated knowledge of legislation, practices, policies and procedures applicable to Victorian Courts and Tribunals, in particular, the Drug Court of VictoriaDemonstrated effective and responsive leadershipDemonstrated experience as a team leader or manager within CourtsAbility to operate relevant computer systems, including case-management systems such as Cortlink, PRAISE, CLMS and other technologies, and recording and video conferencing equipment as requiredHow to Apply: Click the 'Apply Now' button, ensuring you include the following in your application:
