About the Driving Programs The Support Officers will work under the leadership of the Driving Programs Coordinator to deliver the SW RYDE and End to End programs to eligible participants.
The Driving Programs are designed to support 16-25 year olds in their journey to achieving their driver's license along with employment and education opportunities.
It can also, in some circumstances, support people over the age of 25 to achieve their driver's license.
The program supports people all the way through the process of obtaining their full driver's licence, including driver education, obtaining the learners permit, building driving experience through formal driving lessons and driving supervision, and to sit and pass the Hazard Perception Test (HPT) and Practical Driving Assessment (PDA) to achieve their P plates.
The Driving Programs are funded by the Department of Transport (Driving Access and Equity Program) and the Department of Justice.
Qualifications & Experience The ability to engage and communicate with a diverse range of people.Knowledge and experience of the WA Graduated Driver Training and License System.Ability to work as part of a team.Ability to use online software on various digital devices.Certificate III or IV in Community Services / Youth Work.Ability to network and work collaboratively with stakeholders.Knowledge and practical application of workplace health and safety.Hold or be able to apply for a Working With Children Check and National Police Check prior to commencing.Preferable to hold a current First Aid certificate.Please email ****** or call 0411 440 *** for further information and/or the full position description.
