Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems Australia is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team that manages the Operations at Sunshine Truck Axle Assembly Plant and the Derrimut Aftermarket Distribution Centre.
We are seeking a driven and energetic Technical Specialist to join our Australian Aftermarket team. As the Aftermarket Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for the delivery of technical service excellence across all OE/Dealer and appointed distributors.
As an integral member of the Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems Aftermarket Team, the Technical Specialist will manage customer needs and proactively fulfill customer part interpretation/technical requirements, customer support, sales, and communication.
You will work closely with the Customer Service Team, Sales Team, Warehouse, and Engineering to ensure the technical needs of your customers are fully addressed. Reporting to the Aftermarket Sales and Service Manager, the key responsibilities include:
Develop and document processes to provide a quality technical response in line with customer expectations. Responsible for the training and sharing of technical knowledge of the processes required to improve technical capability of the customer service department. Effectively manage technical enquiries to ensure customer requests are actioned in a timely and professional manner. Ensure customers' needs and requirements are met by interpreting the customers' requirements over the phone. Provide advice regarding parts specifications to customers as required. Develop strong relationships with customers, both external and internal. Ensure external customer communications are routed into Salesforce accurately. Ensure excellence in customer communication. To be successful in this role, you will have: Prior background in commercial vehicle or similar aftermarket parts industry preferred. Display sufficient technical knowledge and experience to successfully assist customers. Strong interpersonal skills to liaise with a wide range of internal and external customers. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel). Exceptional attention to detail and excellent time management/planning skills. Commercially minded to drive business growth and profitability. Certificate II in Automotive (Sales – Replacement Parts and Accessories) or background as a Diesel mechanic could be a plus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
