Your role:
As a Driver, you'll keep the Army moving and play a pivotal role in the distribution of equipment, supplies and Army personnel via a wide range of different vehicles, on all-terrain. From Mercedes Benz G Wagons, Hawkei PMV-L or 40M Medium trucks, to HX77 Heavy Utility trucks, off-road forklifts and road trains, there will be no lack of variety as a Driver in the Army.
Your duties include, but aren't limited to:
Drive loaded and unloaded vehicles in varied conditions and on all-terrain
Deliver personnel, stores, equipment and Combat Service Support - utilising road, rail, sea and air transportation
Camouflage a vehicle
Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, winches and cranes
Supervise and assist with loading and unloading vehicles
Conduct non-technical inspections
Recover damaged vehicles using vehicle recovery equipment
Operate radio/communications equipment fitted to a vehicle
Transport dangerous goods

Location:
Following your initial military training, you could be posted to one of the many Army bases and units across Australia. Drivers are employed across most Army locations primarily QLD, NSW, SA and the NT.
Salary:
Upon commencing training, your starting salary will be approximately $56,365 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation and your pay will increase as you progress through training.
On completion of your initial military training and initial employment training, you'll enjoy a package starting from $76,700 per annum.
As part of your training for this Driver role, you'll earn qualifications for the operation of certain vehicles.

For this role, you must be an Australian citizen, over 17 at the time of enlistment, hold a provisional or full driver's licence, and have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics.
