Driscoll's Australia is seeking an accomplished finance leader to drive its financial vision and execution. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this position is the most senior finance role within the joint venture and a strategic partner to the local senior leadership team.
As the head of finance, you will be leading the financial strategy, engaging with, and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, and ensuring alignment of our financial practices with our core values and goals. You will have accountability for the full breadth of the finance function including cash flow, reporting, and compliance, and work closely with our joint venture partners (Costa Group & Driscoll's Inc), auditors, and regulatory bodies. You'll also use your exceptional leadership qualities to support your team to achieve strong results in a collaborative business-partnering environment.
Your key areas of accountability will include:
Strategic Financial Leadership : Driving financial strategy and long-term planning, aligning financial objectives with the joint venture's business goals, and supporting long-term 5-year strategic initiatives. Stakeholder Engagement : Building positive relationships with joint venture partners, grower partners, auditors, and regulatory bodies. Financial Planning & Analysis : Leading financial analysis, budgeting, and scenario planning, offering data-driven insights and recommendations for key decision-making. Regulatory & Statutory Compliance : Overseeing tax compliance, statutory reporting, audit management, and adherence to accounting standards and corporate governance policies. Accounting & Financial Operations : Supervising core finance functions, including cost accounting & analysis, AP/AR, cash flow management, and payroll, ensuring accurate and compliant processes. Capital Planning & Investment Analysis : Evaluating and monitoring capital projects, assessing funding options, and developing strategies for optimizing capital investments. Business Analytics : Overseeing the development of business analytics, data integration, and reporting to drive informed decision-making and support strategic planning. Leadership & Team Development : Mentoring and leading a finance team of 10 staff. WHAT YOU NEED Currently hold a comparable senior finance role with management responsibility of a team. CPA or equivalent with tertiary studies in finance or accounting. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP), advanced Excel skills, and strong command of the MS Office suite. Experience in IT systems and processes including development and improvement. Experience working with joint venture structures and a board preferred. Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
