Amplitude Energy is seeking a skilled Drilling & Wells Engineer to deliver our projects with a focus on maintaining high standards of safety and compliance in a cost-effective manner.
As the Drilling & Wells Engineer, you will collaborate with the Lead Drilling and Completions Engineer to plan and execute the program to the Amplitude Energy well engineering standards.
In this onshore role you will be responsible for cementing activities, tubing and casing running services, management of Drill Pipe and BHA design, well program monitoring and compliance and lead the program documentation.
About the Role Support drilling projects by developing well designs and operational plans that deliver well objectives at the lowest risk and cost.Proven ability to manage multiple drilling and associated contracts with service partners.A lifecycle understanding of offshore drilling operations (semi-submersible) including planning, quality, well integrity for exploration, development and abandonment activities.Lead cementing activities, well integrity management, and documentation for well programs, simultaneous operations, and handovers.Lead source control emergency response plans (ERP), including blowout modeling and compliance audits.Assist in identifying risks (project and operational) and controls through the risk assessment process.Drive continuous improvement in wells processes and service programs in collaboration with stakeholders.Support offshore execution teams to achieve performance objectives in health, safety, environment, well objectives and budget.Participate in Incident Management and Source Control Teams.Provide relief support for the Lead Drilling Engineer as needed.Job DescriptionAbout you Extensive experience (5-10+ years) in well engineering and operational leadership in an Australian oil and gas company role.Thorough knowledge of well engineering principles, standards, and applicable Australian legislation.Expertise in offshore drilling and semi-submersible operations.Current (and ability to maintain) IMO-2 (or equivalent), BOSIET, CA-EBS and Supervisor Level 4 Well Control Certification IWCF (subsea).Experience in offshore planning, drilling, logistics, completions, and abandonment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report preparation and stakeholder relationship management.Desired Skills and ExperienceAbout Amplitude Energy
