Driller And Driller'S Assistant

A position has come available for a driller's offsider on the Gold Coast. This is not a FIFO role, work is usually Monday-Friday with some Saturdays. Please only apply if you can meet all the following requirements. 
Requirements: Must have Heavy Rigid Truck LicenceWilling to do manual labouring and be physically fit to cope with the demands of the position.Able to pass drug and alcohol testsStrong commitment to safetyMechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skillsLicensed to use a crane (not essential) The role of an offsider is to assist the Driller with general duties including but not limited to: Assist the driller in a competent manner, according to the company's procedures, policies, and standards.Load, drive and unload heavy vehicles.Clean drill rigs, vehicles, equipment, and tools.Add and remove drill rods and other downhole tools.Assist with mixing drilling mud, chemicals, and cement.Adhere to OH&S guidelines and work as a safe member of the teamDrive vehicles according to local conditions and comply with road or site rules.Assisting with routine maintenance and repairs Driller's Offsider's Personal Requirements: Capable of following instructionsEnjoy practical and manual activitiesMechanical knowledge and able to handle machineryHigh level of physical fitnessBe respectful of clients, employer and othersWilling to work in remote areas under difficult conditionsGood organisational skillsMaintain a positive and professional presentationBe able to pass a drug and alcohol clearance
