We are looking for a Superintendent Drill and Blast to provide leadership to ensure all aspects of Mine Development and Drilling & Blasting operations are conducted safely and efficiently.
This role is a great opportunity for an experienced individual with a strong background in mining and excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
This position is Residential in Tom Price or FIFO Perth.
Reporting to the Manager Mining, you will: Be responsible for the development of a strong safety culture ensuring adherence to all relevant statutory regulations and Rio Tinto Iron Ore standards and policies Demonstrate capability in all aspects of leading a team including but not limited to; employee performance management, training and career development Help to recruit your team and drive employee engagement through the application of consistent and fair leadership Measure, record and analyse reporting on all drill and blast activities to consistently achieve plan and improve performance Work collaboratively and foster relationships with other departments to achieve wider business objectives About you Drill and Blast knowledge Collaborative approach and positive attitude Proven leadership qualities and prior experience in leading and developing people Cost control management and budgeting experience Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple work priorities Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills It will also be beneficial if you have: A current WA Restricted Quarry Manager's ticket Certificate IV or higher in Frontline Management What we offer Be recognised for your contribution, your thinking and your hard work, and go home knowing you've helped the world progress.
