About the role
The Technical Services department at Randwick City Council is looking for a highly motivated and proactive Drainage Engineer to strategically plan and manage Council's drainage network.
This role involves overseeing and planning the Council's drainage network through investigations and catchment studies and the development of mitigation plans. The position also includes developing and implementing the drainage Capital Works program, covering design and project management, as well as providing guidance to internal and external stakeholders on drainage and flooding.
This is a dynamic role offering significant autonomy, where each day brings new challenges and opportunities, ensuring your work is engaging and far from monotonous.
We're looking for someone with Experience in leading the delivery of drainage objectives, managing budgets and mentoring staff in drainage and flooding projectsDemonstrated experience in drainage analysis and design utilising various computer software programs including Autocad, Drains and ArcMap or other GIS softwareExperience with modelling software such as HEC-RAS, TuFlow and Watercom DrainsAbility to negotiate and liaise effectively with community representativesExperience with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications, as well as report writing and formal correspondenceKnowledge and experience in Local Government Engineering
