This is a highly rewarding and challenging role working with the New South Wales Drafting Team based in our fun and stylish Baulkham Hills Office.

Reporting to the Drafting Manager, your responsibilities will include: Produce design drawings using CAD/Revit for: site plans, design solution sketches, sales plans, working drawings, variations, council plans and final construction drawingsComplete all drawings in accordance with design and construction details dictated by Building Code of Australia, local authority requirements and relevant planning requirementsEnsure all drawings are completed with 100% accuracy to reflect customer requirements as described in the sales estimate, as well as in accordance with Metricon and building standardsProduce drawings to support stages of the workflow process to reflect requirements and to incorporate amendments required to obtain all relevant permitsEnsure that relationships with all internal departments, external customers, suppliers, agents and contractors are maintained and improved; andMaintain and constantly develop thorough knowledge of Metricon products, services and processes in order to complete work confidently.

The successful candidate will have: Formal qualifications in Architectural Drafting (Diploma or higher) would be an advantageNSW Home Building ExperienceMinimum 2 years drafting experience within the volume residential building industryCompetent and experienced with AutoCAD and Revit in residential drafting (essential)An understanding of residential construction and the construction processA thorough knowledge of building and planning regulationsThe ability to communicate professionally, prioritise and meet deadlines; andImplement a high level of attention to detail and a proactive approach to all tasks undertaken.
