We are seeking a design drafts person with heavy fabrication experience, to join our clients growing team and help deliver industry leading, Australian projects across multiple industries. This opportunity will be offered on a permanent, full-time basis at our clients manufacturing facility in the Northern Suburbs.
Key experiences needed for this role include:Associate diploma or mechanical trade qualification.Experience designing and drafting materials handling equipment.+5 years relevant experience in mining or heavy fabrication industries.Professional experience & detail drafting using Inventor and other Auto desk software.Experience in producing workshop drawings.Familiarity in Australian design and engineering standards.Experience collaborating with estimators, project managers and engineers.Major duties of this role include:Develop, modify and maintain appropriate design standards and procedures.Undertake mechanical/structural design or draft work on projects.Collaborate closely with project managers and other team members to capture all the appropriate information for drawings.Support the estimation team by providing technical support.Drawing number management including up-keeping of drawing registers.Auditing drawings to confirm latest revisions.Auditing plant/equipment to generate red line markups and as-built drawings.2D and 3D model management and coordination.Ensure a proactive approach is taken to identify and eliminate any safety hazards and potential incidents.Personal attributes needed for this role include:Excellent organisational skillsFantastic communication skills, including the ability to report effectivelyHigh level problem solving skillsAbility to work to strict deadlines and work under pressureAttention to detailTeam playerIf you or someone you know fits most of this criteria, please contact James Crouch on 0429 499 404 for more information.
