Downlands College is seeking applications for a part-time (8am – 2:30pm), term-time, fixed-term position as an Administration Assistant servicing our College's Health precinct (Health Hub) for the duration of 2025.
Owned and operated by the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart, Downlands has a long history of academic, sporting, and cultural achievement. Nurtured by a deeply committed team of teachers and support staff, our tradition fosters an educational philosophy that is heart-centred and values-driven.
Responsibilities include a range of general office duties such as:
Providing administrative support to a variety of Health staff, such as the Nurse Manager, Registered Nurses, and College Counsellors Performing tasks associated with Health Hub Reception and client relations Assisting with records management, maintenance, and data entry Working closely with students, particularly boarding students Assisting students with first aid and medical attention when required Qualifications and Experience
The successful applicant will possess relevant qualifications in office administration or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and/or education. Further, the successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to:
Operate a variety of generic and internal Information Technology systems, including but not limited to the Microsoft Office Suite, with expertise Use initiative, problem solve, and manage a workload with competing priorities Build effective collaborative working relationships with varied stakeholders Be flexible, remain calm in challenging circumstances, and maintain a positive attitude Maintain excellent interpersonal and communication skills to relate professionally with students, parents, and staff Work with discretion and maintain confidentiality Exhibit outstanding professional personal presentation The successful applicant will ideally possess relevant first aid certification or be willing to attain it.
School Officer Level 3 $33.17 to $34.58 per hour, plus super.
