Join us on the journey. We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Advisor to join our team. This position will support the Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture (RRJV), which is a 50/50 joint venture between Downer and CPB Contractors to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing Defence infrastructure and facilities.
We are seeking candidates to be part of our team on the redevelopment project, covering the Albury Wodonga Military Area, Blamey Barracks (Kapooka) and the RAAF Base Wagga.
The Quality Advisor role will be based in Wagga Wagga. We encourage local candidates to apply, or those willing to relocate. Attractive relocation incentives are available to the successful candidate.
What you'll do Provide support to the project team in the implementation of the project quality management system and development of work process documentation. Assist in monitoring and maintaining the requirements of the Project Quality Management System and systems for data, document and record management. Assist project personnel in the preparation and coordination of project quality system documentation including preparation and review of documentation to/from subcontractors and suppliers. Attend site frequently, with the Site and Project engineer to view works, observe testing and provide assistance with testing, recording and verification of site quality requirements. Provide guidance, support, coaching and/or mentoring on quality related matters/issues to Site and Project engineers, Foremen and workforce. Implement, monitor and improve the construction quality and verification processes in accordance with the deed and the Quality Plan. Participate in the preparation and review of Construction Area Plans, Work Packs, ITPs, SWMS and checklists. Monitor and review subcontractors' quality deliverables and ensure they fulfil their quality obligations. Monitor the establishment of construction lots and coordinate inspection of works and products with the construction team. What you'll bring Undergraduate degree or other suitable study (e.g. Advanced Diploma) in a discipline that develops critical thinking skills such as Engineering or Science. Experience as an Auditor of Quality Management Systems. Minimum three (3) years of construction experience including relevant construction quality management experience. Awareness of relevant Australian and International standards, both technical and those related to management systems. Well-developed writing, communication, consultation, negotiation and influencing skills. Solid relationship building skills. High level writing skills. Good presentation skills with ability to demonstrate and train others.
