The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Executive Manager of Business Services, this dynamic new role will drive the growth and transformation of Orana's disability services into a commercially viable social enterprise model. You will lead, implement, and manage multiple large-scale projects to achieve Orana's strategic goals around social entrepreneurship. Collaborating closely with the Executive Management team and external stakeholders, you will establish industry partnerships aligned with Orana's mission and values.
Your primary focus will be on developing and executing a robust sales strategy and framework that supports Orana's vision for sustainable growth. You will identify new market opportunities that create meaningful employment for Orana's supported employees across metropolitan and regional Adelaide, contributing to Orana's mission of enabling people with disabilities to thrive in their communities.
Key Responsibilities
Drive the growth of Orana's social enterprise by identifying new business opportunities that create impactful employment for supported employees. Develop and apply best practices for enterprise development, ensuring cross-linkage opportunities within the organisation. Lead strategic planning through annual business plans, supported by financial analysis and performance evaluation. Oversee the complete operational management of the social enterprise(s), ensuring service delivery aligns with Orana's standards and contractual commitments. Act as a liaison between Orana staff, government agencies, industry professionals, and community groups to promote Orana's services. Manage sales activities in line with strategic business plans and budget targets. Provide regular updates and collaborate with the Senior Management Team on social enterprise initiatives and employee matters. Represent and advocate for Orana at networking events and trade shows to build strong community and business partnerships. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
Proven track record in driving sales and achieving commercial growth within a similar or related industry. Tertiary qualifications in relevant fields like Sales, Marketing, or Business are advantageous but not mandatory. Strong leadership and management skills, with experience building and leading high-performing sales teams. Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven approach to identifying and developing business opportunities. Excellent sales and customer relationship skills. Advanced problem-solving abilities and initiative. Strategic thinker with experience at both corporate and operational levels. Understanding of contract law and pricing models. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, government departments, and the community. NDIS Worker Check (renewed every 5 years) and National Police Certificate (renewed every 3 years). Current driver's license and willingness to use own vehicle for business purposes when required.
