INTERNAL POSTING – Full-Time Position
The BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres (BCAAFC) is an innovative organization working collaboratively with its member centres and partners to support urban Indigenous people as they realize their vision of health, wellness, and prosperity.
The BCAAFC is seeking a qualified Indigenous individual to assist the Doulas for Aboriginal Families Grant Program Coordinator. This program provides grants to Indigenous families living in BC to access doula supports. The goal of the program is to increase healthy birth outcomes for Indigenous families by removing the cost barrier to accessing doula services.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Support the Doula Grant Program Coordinator using established criteria and guidelinesPromote the program in First Nations and urban communitiesMaintain adequate files and records for reporting purposesMaintain a database of pre-registered Doulas throughout BCIntake data to build a body of evidence on the effectiveness of the programAssist with Indigenous Birth worker event planningKnowledge and Abilities Strong administrative and organizational abilities, with experience managing filesStrong verbal and written communication skillsThe ability to work well under a supervisor and independently as necessaryStrong time decision-making and problem-solving skillsEthics and integrity, working with confidential materials and informationA high energy level with a determined and productive attitudeQualifications Administrative experienceSignificant experience working with Indigenous communities and Indigenous service organizationsExcellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and OutlookMust be able to provide a current criminal record checkCandidates must meet the following criteria:

Salary ranging from $57,500-$62,500 on your skills and experience
Permanent Position, subject to funding. 33-hour work week.
