Dorevitch Pathology Haematology Department is seeking a dedicated and skilled laboratory technician to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in both specialised haematology areas and the high-volume track area, contributing to high-quality patient care.
About the role: Pre-analytical processing of samples for routine full blood examination, Hb electrophoresis, and haematological malignancy pre-testing procedures Starting up analysers, sample preparation, and analysis Troubleshooting analyser and sample integrity issues Entering results into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) and ensuring accurate reporting Collaborating with scientists and working independently on laboratory tasks Understanding haematological disorders to assist with panel coding and results entry based on clinical notes Maintaining quality control/assurance protocols and taking appropriate actions to resolve issues About you: Relevant qualification: Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques (MSL40118) or Diploma Laboratory Technology (MSL50118) A team-focused, self-motivated individual capable of thriving in a busy environment Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Knowledge of hematological disorders (advantageous but not mandatory) Why Join Us?
