This position will support community members to meet their goals through community partnerships, collaboration and using case management as a tool.
About The RoleWe are seeking a dedicated Doorways Caseworker for our TAS Community Engagement Programs in a permanent part-time capacity (15.2 hours per week). This position is based out of Devonport. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Social and Community Services Award level 4.
Key Responsibilities Work collaboratively with Corps Officers, Volunteers, and other co-located Mission Leaders to deliver an integrated approach to delivering Doorways at the local site.Build and maintain relationships within TSA and with local community stakeholders to identify local resources, community needs, and opportunities for collaboration.Assessment of community members' specific needs, strengths and identification of interrelated issues and needs.Develop high quality case plans with community members to identify achievable goals using a strength-based approach.Complete assessments and referrals for additional financial support e.g., applications for No Interest Loans (NILS), Energy Assistance, following State based practice guides and processes.Provide guidance to community members, Corps Officers, volunteers, internal and external services in how to access Doorways Emergency Financial Relief.Provide advocacy to support community members to access services and be connected in their community and be linked to other communities as appropriate.Practice adherence with TSA's Policies and Procedures, Doorways Model of Care and Practice Guides.Undertake administrative tasks including maintaining accurate, up-to-date records and data for all clients in accordance with TSA standards and procedures, using SAMIS.About You Degree level qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or other Community/Human Services discipline is highly desirable.Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in the community services sector.A national Criminal History check.A current and valid Working with Children's Check.What We Offer Flexible working conditions.An attractive salary including NFP salary packaging ($15,900 tax free) plus meals and entertainment benefits ($2650).Purchase leave, study leave, Paid parental leave.Opportunity for training and career development.Free Onsite parking.Salvos Rewards - Access to exclusive financial, retail and lifestyle discounts and benefits.Novated car leasing, discounts on car hire and purchase.Salvos Wellness app and program, including access to Fitness Passport.Employee Assistance Program - Independent confidential counselling service.The Salvation Army is an Equal Opportunity Employer who provides an inclusive work environment and embraces the diverse talent of its people.
