It's all part of the way we partner with the community to help every individual lead a healthy life.About the role:The Donor Conception Registry Officer is a public-facing role and will be supported by the Donor Conception Registrar.The role is responsible for responding to enquiries and providing information to the public, registered Assisted Reproductive Treatment (ART) clinics, government departments and agencies.The Donor Conception Registry Officer is responsible for receiving donor conceived pregnancy and birth information from ART clinics and verifying this information with the Victorian Births, Deaths and Marriages.The role will be responsible for processing applications to the Central and Voluntary Registers from people seeking information about the connections they may share with others within the donor-conceived community.The Donor Conception Registry Officer will be responsible for undertaking search and find activities and outreaching to donors, donor-conceived people (DCP), parents of donor-conceived people (PDCP), and their relatives when they are the subject of a Central Register application.On occasion, the Donor Conception Registry Officer will be required to sensitively inform individuals they are donor conceived and to refer individuals and their families to appropriate support services.How you'll make a difference:Assisting with monitoring and evaluation of stakeholder experience.Assisting with the development of written materials for internal and external stakeholders.Recording application data in client management systems with high accuracy.Performing audits of the Central and Voluntary Registers.Conducting search and find activities to locate people recorded in the Central Register.Classifying and archiving documents and records when required.Digitising medical files to be recorded on the Central Register when required.Providing continuous process improvement in relation to the activities undertaken in this role.Ability to apply policy, legislative and regulatory requirements to applications received to the Donor Registers.Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate:Tertiary qualification in sociology, health, education, information/records management, or relevant discipline.Experience working with individuals and families impacted by donor conception or adoption is highly desirable.Knowledge of issues related to fertility, infertility and assisted reproductive treatment or experience working in the fertility industry is highly desirable.Knowledge and experience of working in a regulatory environment is highly desirable.What we offer:The opportunity to perform meaningful work, making direct contributions toward enabling Victorians to be the healthiest people in the world.A wide range of growth and development opportunities within the department and wider Victorian Public Service & Sector.A strong commitment to work-life balance, including a diverse array of flexible working arrangements.How to apply:Applications should include a resume and a cover letter.
