Domestic Logistics Lead

Use your experience in Domestic Freight Coordination to oversee the efficient shipping and distribution of goods.
About the role: Work for a well-established business that has been in the industry for nearly 90 years! Full time permanent role $90K + super Onsite role in Scoresby Mon – Fri / 8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm Contribute to a team that is proud of their organisational culture What you will be doing: Ensure transportation and logistics comply with policies, safety rules, union contracts and government regulations. Coordinate activities related to dispatch, routing and tracking of transport vehicles. Investigate and resolve complaints regarding shipments and stock availability. Manage 3PL inter-branch transfers. Liaise with shipping container companies to coordinate deliveries and returns. Optimise transport planning. Handle import/export tasks, including data entry and documentation. Audit and maintain paperwork and reports. Report on KPIs (mileage, fuel tax reporting, shipment details, stock levels). Skills, experience and attributes we are looking for: Direct, in-depth experience with freight logistics. High level of initiative and organisational skills. Confident personality with ability to problem-solve with conviction. A team player that can contribute to the culture of the business. Detailed understanding of Bill of Lading process, chain of responsibility and import/export documentation. Experience with Pronto or similar ERP/CRM highly advantageous.
