Primary objective To provide high-level strategic advice, business administration, project management and guidance on the Department's responsibilities under the Domestic Family Violence (DFV) Action Plan 2.
Key duties and responsibilities Provide the Assistant Commissioner Offender Rehabilitation and Engagement (ORE) with timely evidence-based strategic and operational project management advice, including providing advice and recommendations.Develop and deliver assigned DFV project initiatives from planning to execution and post implementation support.Process and monitor the financial administration of projects and contracts to ensure cash flow and expenditure targets are met.Undertake research, analyse and undertake other projects and initiatives as directed by the Assistant Commissioner, ORE.Develop and maintain effective collaborative partnerships and strategic alliances with colleagues and other stakeholders at local and national levels.Provide input on the risk identification and mitigation as well as resourcing of potential program and project priorities.Undertake a range of administrative tasks that support the efficient and compliant development and management of procurement contracts, and ensure that these comply with internal policies and processes.Selection criteria Essential Comprehensive knowledge of and experience in contemporary best practice business management, project management and performance monitoring and reporting.High-level writing skills, with significant experience in research and analysis, to accurately develop and manage procurement contracts in conjunction with procurement governance policy, procurement rules and procurement circulars.Demonstrated strategic conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills with an innovative approach to problem-solving which is outcomes driven and stakeholder focussed.Demonstrated ability to take a strategic system wide perspective on major initiatives, including the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities for a range of stakeholders.Proven ability to operate efficiently and reliably with autonomy and meet deadlines, as well as providing support to the team environment.Sound judgement and discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive information.Desirable Demonstrated sound understanding of, or experience working within DFV and/or DFV Action Plan 2.Further information NT Correctional Services has a Smoke Free Policy.
