Domestic & Family Violence Integration Officer Justice and Attorney-General (Organisation site) Magistrates Courts Service; Queensland Courts Service; Courts and Tribunals; Ipswich About the Role This role is part of the Courts Innovation Program.
It provides input on behalf of the Department of Justice, Courts and Tribunals, to the High Risk Teams (HRT).
The HRT is a multi-agency response to domestic and family violence (DFV) and is one element of the integrated service response (ISR) to DFV.
This approach ensures coordination of services and supports across government, non-government, and other community organisations.
There are two positions available: Redlands HRT (base location Cleveland) Ipswich HRT (base location Ipswich) Please use the attached location preference form to indicate the location that you are interested in applying for.
Key Responsibilities: Establish and maintain supportive relationships with government and nongovernment stakeholders.
Collaborate with services operating in the court to drive necessary court and stakeholder strategies that support integrated responses to DFV.
Facilitate and support the ongoing implementation of the common risk and assessment safety framework and information sharing protocols.
When appropriate, conduct risk assessments and respond accordingly, which may include referrals to the HRT.
Participate in HRT meetings including any emergency, unplanned meetings.
Undertake objective systematic analysis of relevant information held by the registry and compile relevant information to inform a response by the HRT.
Liaise with registry staff to complete any actions relating to the Court which may arise from the HRT meetings and report outcomes to the HRT.
Inform and educate other HRT core members on the legal process and other policies and procedures that may affect the way DFV matters are dealt with by the Court.
Contribute to the continuous development and review of policies, procedures, and protocols that support the courts response to DFV and its participation in the HRT/ISR processes and report back to the Courts Innovation Program on any matter that requires improvement.
Contribute to the ongoing development of best practice approaches to the court role on HRT and broader ISRs by participating in agency presentations with the ISR and regular information sessions with registry staff about HRT and the ISR.
Maintain accurate records in a computerised database to support the court response to the HRT and effective monitoring of matters before the HRT.
Support, contribute to, and cultivate cultural capability within the operations of programs established under the Courts Innovation Program to assist vulnerable people coming into contact with the justice system.
