About the role: Juniper Aged Care is actively seeking detail-oriented and experienced Kitchen Hand to join our dedicated team at Juniper Annesley on a permanent part-time basis.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide assistance in the kitchen, preparing food, and keeping the kitchen area clean and compliant with food safety requirements.
The responsibilities associated with this position may vary depending on the operational needs of the facility.
The candidate will be required to work 35 hours a fortnight for the following shifts: Week 1: Monday 3:45pm-7:45pm, Tuesday 3:45pm-7:45pm, Wednesday 4:00pm-7:00pm, Thursday 4:00pm-7:00pm and Friday 4:00pm-7:00pm.
Week 2: Monday 3:45pm-7:45pm, Tuesday 7:45am-1:15pm, Wednesday 7:45am-1:15pm, Saturday 4:00pm-7:00pm.
Key Responsibilities: Preparing and presenting breakfast, lunch, and dinner in accordance with resident requirements/preferences.Providing kitchen hand services at the facility such as modifying food texture and apportioning food accurately.Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen areas and equipment.Consistently applying Safe Food Handling Practices.Adhering to Juniper's Occupational, Safety and Health requirements.Key Requirements: Must have valid work rights in Australia.Previous experience in commercial cooking or aged care catering.Safe food handling practice and hygiene standards with experience in maintaining cleanliness.Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with residents, customers, and team members.Knowledge of relevant chemicals and safe handling practices and procedures for cooking operations.Excellent organisational and time management skills.What's on offer: Attractive remuneration $36.41 - $38.69 per hour - depending on experience, plus 11.5% superannuation.Non-profit values driven Western Australian aged care provider.Salary Packaging up to $18,550 per annum tax-free.Free parking on site.How to Apply: Don't miss this opportunity to join a supportive team in a rewarding role!
