Role Summary: As a Domestic Care Worker at Apollo Care, you will play a vital role in providing safe and high-quality domestic support services to our residents. You will work in partnership with Personal Care Workers, assisting with various tasks including general cleaning, meal preparation, and emotional support. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about making a difference in the lives of older Australians.
Key Responsibilities: Understand and apply Aged Care Quality Standards in daily tasks.Engage with and communicate respectfully with residents.Deliver care in accordance with the agreed Care Plan.Provide emotional and psychological support to residents.Perform tasks such as making beds, tidying rooms, stocking continence bags, providing basic mobility assistance, assisting with meals, and cleaning.Assist residents with glasses, hearing aids, and other aids.Assist with personal laundry duties and help residents attend activities.Work collaboratively with other team members to meet residents' care needs.Report complaints, feedback, hazards, and incidents promptly. Who are you and what will you bring? Experience in Domestic support, ideally in aged care/disabilityAvailability to work various shifts across various daysBe passionate about delivering a person-centred approach to careStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work autonomouslyCurrent NDIS Worker Check (or willing to obtain)Current First Aid CertificateCurrent NSW Drivers license with comprehensive motor vehicle insuranceConfidence in use of technology and own a smart device Interested?
