Any additional role/s will be subject to appropriate training, and any request will be considered based on relative business needs.About the roleIn this role, you'll be an integral part of our Domestic team, carrying out general cleaning duties for our residents in line with a schedule and infection control regulations for Aged Care Homes.
You'll operate cleaning equipment and utilize effective cleaning techniques ensuring a clean and hygienic environment is provided for our residents.
A positive "can-do" attitude is essential for this role, as is the ability to work well in multidisciplinary teams to deliver these essential services to our residents.
Some responsibilities may include but not be limited to:Cleaning resident rooms, common areas and bathrooms to the highest standardComplete cleaning tasks as per schedules and ensure documentation on completionCommunication and coordination with other staff regarding cleaning requirementsStock control and ordering, and associated record keepingComplying with Workplace Health and Safety & Infection Control policies and procedures at all timesWhat you will bring to the role?At least two years experience working with commercial cleaning servicesExperience working in an aged care or health-related facility (desired)Understanding of safe use of chemicals and cleaning productsAn enthusiastic attitude and a commitment to working positively in a teamCompassion and empathy for the elderlyExcellent time management and communication skillsFlexibility with start time and days (including weekends)Who is Southern Cross Care Queensland?Southern Cross Care Queensland (SCCQ) is a Catholic not-for-profit organisation established by the Knights of the Southern Cross, more than 40 years ago.
