Suncare Domestic Assistant / Cleaner - what's involved in the role? We are currently seeking a Permanent Part-Time Domestic Assistant (up to 50 hours per fortnight) to provide support to our customers in their homes located in and around Bundaberg.
The role of a Suncare Domestic Assistant actively supports the individual needs of our aged customers who are living at home, either independently or with family. Examples of your duties could include:
Assisting with cleaning the bathroom and toiletVacuuming and mopping of floorsWiping kitchen surfaces and laundry dutiesMeal preparationBed makingIroning and unassisted shoppingDomestic Assistant work is typically performed between Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm, and the roster you are provided is dependent on your availability. An example of a roster is Tuesday to Friday 8.30am-1.30pm (40 hours per fortnight). There may also be the opportunity to gain additional hours depending on your availability and operational requirements.
About you We want our customers to have a great experience with our people, and our people need to have a great attitude, be friendly, willing to learn new things, and most importantly listen and understand what the customer wants. You will ideally have demonstrated experience in cleaning. You will also have the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
For this position, you will be required to be physically fit, hold a valid Driver's licence and be willing to use your own vehicle for work purposes, ensuring that your vehicle is appropriately insured. A Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC), CPR and First Aid certificates are required in this position.

Effective 13 January 2025, due to changes to the SCHADS Award, the rate of pay will increase to $31.64 per hour, plus superannuation.
