The Finance & Corporate Services Domain Lead is a key new senior role in the Tech Enterprise & Transformation tribes. This role reports into the Enterprise IT Area Lead and supports them in the design and execution of the technology strategy across finance, treasury, HR, legal, facilities, communication, and wholesale banking domains. Their leadership responsibilities encompass both change and run teams, overseeing complex projects with moderate to high impact. Their People leadership responsibilities include directing the relative Chapter Leads, Delivery Leads and oversight of both onshore and offshore engineering resources within the domain.
This role is at the forefront of bridging the gap between technology and business. Fostering strong partnerships with relevant business counterparts, Tribe Lead, CJEs is critical to the success of the Domain Lead as they will need to negotiate, influence and work seamlessly with the business to distil strategic commercial objectives into a comprehensive and executable technological roadmap. As a subject matter expert in this technological plus business domain, they use their knowledge and customer-centric mindset to identify gaps and challenges, guiding the development of innovative solutions and driving continuous improvement.
This position offers a unique opportunity to lead and shape the delivery function as ING embarks on their Leap strategy and builds the bank of the future. The Domain Lead must be adept at navigating complex delivery environments while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive efficiency, quality, and operational excellence. They possess strong financial management and commercial acumen which allows them to effectively allocate resources, manage vendor contracts and ensure minimal budget variance when executing changes.
As the delegate to the IT Custodians (IT Area Leads), the Domain Lead role is also responsible for ensuring reliability, security, and performance of critical IT assets within the domain. They will oversee system maintenance, lifecycle management, as well as incident and problem management. This will include implementing processes and controls to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, technical risk, internal policies, and delivery frameworks, maintaining compliance across all operational facets.
What you'll do Responsible for implementation and execution of Finance & Corporate Services delivery portfolio under Enterprise Tribe.Change Execution, Strategy Delivery and Financial Management.Leverage modern practices across a diverse technology landscape, which requires a tailored approach for legacy systems and emerging technologies to ensure systems health and reliability.Execute quality strategies, appropriate to the designated technology domain, in alignment with broader organizational goals and priorities.Manage and report on the performance of a substantial, diverse team (both onshore and offshore); set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports or project/account team members and hold them accountable for achieving these.Vendor and Partner Management by assessing performance of external suppliers/partners and ensure that contractors and offshore team members share in ING's values and way of working. Negotiate contracts, evaluate performance, and resolve issues to optimize value and minimize risk.What we're looking for 10-15 years' technical delivery experience in leading, implementing and managing both change and run across finance and corporate services of equivalent scale, scope, and complexity.Demonstrated experience of enabling continuous delivery in complex environments, spanning cloud and on-premises hosting, legacy and emerging technology, with a risk and security-centric mindset.Proven experience in banking/investment technology strategy development and execution in alignment with architecture and other IT functions.Proven experience leading and enabling high performing teams, with high levels of engagement and effective engineering practices.Expert level technical capabilities that will enable you to define the automation technology landscape with a quality focus organization/team/tribe.Experience in management & negotiation of large vendor commercial contracts (>$10m).What's in it for you?
