In this role as a Domain Architect , you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and secure delivery of electricity to consumers. This position involves delivering the business and IT architecture and systems within the energy domain while considering and aligning with the broader architecture across all domains.
With a Hybrid split (Office/WFH), this role is a permanent full-time position based in Southbank, Victoria and is part of the Digital and Technology team.
This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to: Contribute to the IT architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with the company's overall vision. Collaborate with senior executives, IT leaders, and business units to understand strategic priorities within the energy and network domain and translate these into long-term IT goals and roadmaps. Design and maintain the enterprise IT architecture within the energy and network domain, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and consistency across all domains. Establish, promote, and uphold architectural standards, policies, and best practices that support agility, scalability, and resilience. Identify opportunities to optimise resources and costs within the energy and network domain and across other areas, such as application consolidation and IT spending. Work closely with business units, operations, and engineering teams to understand their requirements and develop effective architectural solutions. Identify and mitigate risks related to IT architecture, cybersecurity, and data privacy within the energy and network domain. Address architectural risks or misalignments with system design and regulatory requirements, providing guidance and recommendations on acceptable or residual risks for business acceptance. You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of: Extensive experience in IT architecture, including hands-on design and implementation. Background in energy utilities or similar industries. Deep understanding of architectural concepts, principles, and practices, with a proven ability to align with and achieve business objectives and delivery outcomes. Proven capability to develop and advocate a strategic vision for digital enterprise architecture. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders. Strong interpersonal skills for building effective relationships within and across business units. Experience in facilitating cross-functional collaboration and aligning business and IT strategies.
