Domain Architect (Financial Markets) How will I help?
The Strategy & Architecture function within the Chief Technology Office (CTO) plays an important role in shaping Westpac's future technology landscape and ensuring that the architecture aligns with the roadmaps established, and that it adheres to architecture guardrails and patterns.
This role offers the opportunity to join our exciting Corporate Architecture team to drive the transformational change to the Financial Markets business supporting fixed income, foreign exchange, money markets and commodities, as well as traded risks management.
Focus areas -  You'll play an important role in shaping the future of Financial Markets (FM) and Traded Risk technology landscape and key tasks include:   Working closely with the business and technology stakeholders to develop and maintain Execution Roadmap for Financial Markets and Traded Risk (Market Risk & Counterparty Credit Risk).
Define & maintain reference architecture for FM core capabilities / platforms.
Provide thought leadership and technology expertise to assist business in the formulation of business strategy and technology investment decisions.
Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies and apply this knowledge to improve our Financial Markets capabilities.
Lead a small experience architecture team to deliver end to end solution to the FM projects that is aligned with the Execution Roadmap.
Working closely with other Architects to ensure FM reference architecture and the end-to-end solution delivered to the project is in sync with overall organisational direction.
What do I need?
10+ years of experience in Financial Markets with a deep understating of financial markets products and end to end architecture.
5+ years of experience in architecture with strong knowledge of architecture frameworks, patterns, and standards.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in distributed microservice architecture in supporting low latency trading environment.
Broad knowledge of integration and information architecture.
