About the role UGL are currently seeking a suitably experienced Document Controller to join our team on an ongoing basis at a major Brownfields LNG plant in Karratha.You will be a local Karratha resident and work a required to work a 9-day fortnight. 5/2, 4/3.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Document Controller to play a crucial role in our project. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring incoming and outgoing communication/project documentation is dealt with in accordance with client, corporate and project approved procedures.
Key responsibility areas 1. Document Management: · Maintain an organized and up-to-date document control system.
· Receive, log, and distribute incoming project documents.
· Ensure proper filing, storage, and retrieval of project documents.
2. Quality Assurance: · Implement and enforce document control procedures to maintain the highest quality standards.
· Perform regular audits to verify document accuracy and completeness.
3. Communication and Collaboration: · Facilitate effective communication between project teams, contractors, and other stakeholders.
· Collaborate with various departments to gather and organize project-related documents.
4. Training and Support: · Provide training and support to project team members on document control processes.
· Address any document-related queries or issues promptly.
5. Reporting: · Generate regular reports on document control activities and metrics.
· Highlight any deviations from established processes and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications: · Significant proven experience as a Document Controller in the construction industry, particularly on brownfields projects.
· Seasoned communication & coordination skills.
· A fine attention to detail and compliance.
· Experience working within a multi-cultural workforce is preferred.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a high functioning team.
· Sound knowledge of industry and best-practice standards and their relevance to the project.
· Relevant experience in an industrial services organisation or mining/oil and gas sector.
· Responsible, flexible and an excellent communicator.
