The Tasmanian Health Service is seeking interest from suitably qualified applicants for Unaccredited Registrar Urology vacancies for 2025.
The Royal Hobart Hospital is the tertiary referral hospital for Tasmania, and the principal teaching hospital for the University of Tasmania Medical School. The Hospital provides most specialist medical services for the region or state.

Classification: Medical Practitioner Level 5-11 (Registrar/Senior Registrar)
Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award. Period of Employment: Fixed term full time day work, 76 hours (+10 hours protected training time) per fortnight, effective 3 February 2025 for up to 4 years (24 months negotiable).
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time and part time vacancies. Location: Surgical Services - Urology, Royal Hobart Hospital
The Registrar is responsible for the day-to-day management of private & public inpatients/outpatients and provides afterhours emergency cover at the hospital as required.
Essential Requirements: Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee's responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer of any new criminal convictions and/or if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered. General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia.Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements).The Head of the State Service has determined that the person nominated for this job is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, on promotion or transfer.
