A Medical Rescue Doctor is part of a multidisciplinary team working together to deliver advanced level medical care mainly in the out-of-hospital environment. The Medical Hub team is comprised of Medical Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Registered Paramedics, and logistical staff.
You will be required to undertake the full duties as a medical doctor for primary health and occupational health roles to the level of a non-VR General practitioner and will be supported by Occupational Health and Emergency Medicine specialists when required.

As a Doctor joining the HQ team in the medical hub on the Gold Coast, you will provide: Remote tele/video health support to our paramedics and nurses working in the field. Primary Care level health advice to our staff and their patients through tele and video health links. Clinical governance through case audit, chairing clinical governance meetings, review of pathology or investigation reports. Triage of calls and escalation to emergency medicine specialists as required. Assistance in the coordination of aeromedical transfers and hospital admissions. Senior clinical advice to operations staff providing international medical and aeromedical assistance. Reviewing Medical Rescues Clinical Practice Guidelines, Standard Operating Procedures and policies or in consultation with the Medical Director. The successful candidate will need to currently hold or be willing to obtain: Ongoing evidence of participation in CPD, quality assurance activities and clinical and peer review to maintain credentialed to scope of clinical practice. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Prior experience in remote site or industrial work on construction projects an advantage. The ability to work autonomously, as well as with a team and to be 'on call' when required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
