If so, we have an exciting opportunity available for an experiencedFood Safety & Compliance Coordinator to join our team in Melbourne.
More about this role:
You will be responsible for supporting the onsite Food Safety & Compliance Manager, General Manager Quality Assurance, and Operations Manager in maintaining compliance to food safety training and assisting with Food Safety and Halal regulations.
In a nutshell, your main responsibilities are:
Conduct food safety induction training for all new employees.
Facilitate annual food safety refresher training for all employees.
Pro-actively assist staff with on-the-job training to ensure all process are followed and documented as required.
Provide advice, support and in-depth hands-on training to develop skills and confidence in the team to effectively manage Food Safety/ HACCP and risk prevention in their respective areas of responsibility.
Pro-actively address performance issues, by identifying areas of non-conformance, their root cause, and supporting preventative actions.
Investigate, report, and analyse customer complaints, including food poisoning allegations and other safety investigations and supplier non-conformances.
Provide specialist Food Safety/ HACCP, and Halal advice to external and internal stakeholders as required.
Conduct Compliance audits and adhoc food safety tasks in conjunction with the Food Safety / Quality Assurance Manager.
What do you need to be successful in securing this role?
Previous training experience and demonstrated success in a similar role.
Tertiary qualifications in Food Science or similar discipline.
3-5 years of experience with RTE (Ready-to-Eat) high-risk foods.
Food Safety Auditing (Internal and External).
HACCP Qualification.
Experience in a food manufacturing environment involving QA, HACCP, Food Safety.
Prior experience in working within a team.
Prior knowledge / experience in ISO22000:2018 certification.
As you will be working in the Aviation Services industry, you will be required to obtain a clear National Police Check.
