Job Description About this opportunity Reporting to the Executive General Manager and responsible for developing and implementing quality strategies and systems, ensuring product and process quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across ~10 manufacturing sites, the Divisional Quality Assurance Manager will also champion the development of a culture that allows the Circular Plastics Australia sites to meet the required food industry standards including EFSA & FDA requirements, and FSSC 22000 certification.
Your key responsibilities will be to: Define and execute the quality assurance strategy to support the company's objectives and product quality goals.Lead the development of quality policies, procedures, and best practices. Oversee the evaluation and laboratory testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure they meet specified quality standards Coach and support the site Quality Managers to ensure consistent adherence to quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize processes. Implement and monitor quality metrics and performance indicators. Champion the fostering of a culture of quality and accountability across the Division Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage audits and inspections.To be successful in this role, you'll have: A minimum of 10 years' experience in quality assurance or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in a food manufacturing or regulated industry. Knowledge of FSSC 22000 certification requirements & understanding of EFSA & FDA requirements. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the organization's products or services. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams. Proven track record of driving continuous improvement and achieving results. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field. (Master's degree preferred)Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Auditor, Certified Quality Engineer) preferred.
