Market leading and growing civil contracting business with blue chip clientsChallenging and varied projects from smaller to $100m+, excellent pipelineExcellent career progression and company cultureGreat opportunity to work with a well-established and reputable civil contractor on civil projects within the mining environment including civil, bulk earthworks, demolition, remediation, pit services etc.Our client is a well-established and market leading civil contractor, looking for an experienced and dedicated Divisional Manager / Construction Manager to join their growing business, based in the Hunter region.
Having mining experience working for a civil contractor will be important.Our client provides services across various industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining and resources, oil and gas, transport infrastructure, and environmental.
You will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of a number of challenging projects.Types of projects include demolition, excavation, retention, piling, foundations, ground improvement, soft and hard landscaping, site remediation, and rehabilitation.
Typical project values range from smaller to $100m+.
You will be managing and mentoring a team of Project Managers and Engineers that are delivering these projects.The role will involve business development in the mining sector as well as overall management of operations over multiple concurrent projects, monitoring forecasts, budgets, commercials, and contractual issues.Years of experience: 7 - 15 years +Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Working on tenders and business developmentPlanning and scheduling of construction activitiesManagement of site project teamsQuality Assurance, Cost, and Time ManagementPreparation of management reportsResolving site issues in a timely mannerLiaising with key clients and stakeholdersCoordinating internal and external resourcesBusiness developmentRecruitment and mentoring of teamsQualifications and Requirements:Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar7 – 15+ years' management experience on mining/civil construction projectsProject management qualifications will be advantageousProven understanding of construction with a hands-on approachProven ability to effectively lead and delegateEffective problem-solving abilitiesAbility to resolve conflict and manage client expectationsHigh level of organisation and time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsIf you have the skills and experience that we are looking for, click on "Apply" to submit your resume.
