Job summary The Divisional Information Analyst plays a pivotal role in ensuring the assigned division meets all its national and local reporting requirements.
As a result, the post holder is responsible for the design, development, production and delivery of comprehensive business intelligence reporting systems and processes as well as an underlying business intelligence infrastructure.The post holder must act as a subject matter expert with regard to all national rules and recognised best practice thereby providing accurate specialist advice and guidance to the division.
In addition, the post holder must form effective working relationships with a large audience of operational and clinical staff and be able to communicate complex technical concepts to them seamlessly.
Main duties of the job Business Intelligence Reporting Design ,development and maintenance of all divisional related national returns like Maternity Services Dataset(MSDS), Community Services Dataset (CSDS) or Mental Health Services Dataset (MHSDS) Produce and present divisional KPI monitoring reports at the relevant divisional meetings attended by the Trust's senior operational team.
Production of a regular suite of business intelligence reports in response to Divisional requirements in order to allow the Trust to operationally manage its service effectively.
Business Intelligence Infrastructure Responsible for the receipt, review and processing of high complex and sensitive data-sets for assigned division.
Responsible for the accurate documentation of the logic used for report extraction.
Expert Advice and Support To be the Trust's subject matter expert on the key divisional targets including advising the Business Intelligence Manager, Head of Information, Head of Performance & Contracting and Chief Operating Officer as required.
Development To ensure a suite of informative benchmarking is agreed with the Divisional Director, BI Manager and Head of Information and regularly disseminated within the Trust.
Management Effectively induct new analysts into the department in accordance with the Trust's induction programme.
Ensure other BI divisional analysts are trained as second line support for divisional reporting.
