Founded in 1916, Nilsenis a leading electro-technology company operating throughout Australia, delivering installation, maintenance and manufacturing services to various industries, from inception through to replacement. With offices in all Australian mainland capital cities, Nilsenis established as a major player in delivering contracting, engineering, communications, switchboards and other services to various industries including commerce, utilities, mining manufacturing, defence, health care and other major power and communications users.

As the Electrical Engineering Services Manager for Nilsen's NT state office. You will report directly to the State General Manager and take responsibility for managing the division at P&L level. Through your strong business acumen, well- honed business development capabilities and financial expertise, you will ensure multiple electrical and maintenance services and minor works contracts are won, managed and delivered to ensure continued profitability, sustainability and growth, for the division. The role will involve managing existing clients and bringing in new clients to ensure continuous and steady growth of the division.

Key Responsibilities: Division Manager - Electrical Engineering Services: Lead, manage and mentor a team including sales representatives, estimator, service/project managers and support administration staffThe financial and commercial management of multiple electrical and maintenance minor works contracts across a range of spaces which can include commercial, health, industrial, defence, education and infrastructure.Through support to the GM and successfully managing your team, you will ensure profitability, sustainability and continued growthEnsure effective and efficient use of resources across the engineering services divisionIdentify, monitor and achieve all agreed financial targetsManage key stakeholders (business development, tender negotiations and presentations)Support the state GM to provide commercial input to strategy, business planning and execution, identify and implement business improvements Skills and experience required: A proven track record of successfully managing electrical and maintenance services contracts across a range of industry spaces e.g., commercial, health, industrial, defence, education and infrastructureElectrical Trade or electrical engineering backgroundSubstantial experience to managerial level within the electrical industry with a track record in delivering agreed targetsProven financial acumen, previous experience in accountability for department/division P&Ls is preferredExperience in managing contract / project deliverables successfullyA strong influencer, negotiator and business developer, able to show evidence of previous successes in winning new business within the electrical industry whilst also maintaining existing accountsExcellent people management skills and the ability to bring out the best in your direct reports through leading, coaching, motivating, personal development and performance management and reviewExceptional time management skillsHighly developed interpersonal, communication and networking skills and relationships within the NT market preferredHighly developed numerical, analytical and problem-solving skillsGood IT literacy (project software, spreadsheets, project/P&L reporting)An ability to travel (occasional) as required
