You will support identified students in Years 7-12 within an individual and group context.The successful applicant will demonstrate:highly developed interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively communicate with parents, students and staffexemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of effective pedagogiesproven capacity to differentiate the curriculum for a diverse range of abilitiesability to set effective learning goals with studentshigh levels of organisation and time management skillsan ongoing commitment to professional developmentability to work effectively in a team environmenta commitment to Catholic Education and a clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic Schoolsfacilitate and assist with transition for students with diverse learning needsensure that accurate and comprehensive information is available to all staff about students with additional needs in a timely and easily accessible mannerdevelop and document Personalised Plans (PPs)develop Safety and Behaviour Plans for students if necessaryparticipate in the NCCD Moderation processprovide support to relevant students with disabilities and learning difficulties, both in class and in small groups across a broad range of subject areas, including intervention programsapply contemporary learning and teaching research and data analysis to classroom practice; supporting teachers if necessaryYou will have attained:eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)employee ID registration number with Parramatta Catholic Schools or a commitment to Registration to Teach in CSPD schools.The desirable applicant will demonstrate a commitment to:a willingness to engage with research based intervention strategies in a variety of learning environmentstracking student progress in literacy and numeracy with data, in order to work with teachers to develop their understanding of diverse learning needsworking collaboratively with staff to cater for diverse learning needsan understanding of personalised planning for students with disabilityInterested?This position involves working with children.
