What You'll be DoingProvide a high quality diversional therapy intervention to consumers of mental health services.
This encompasses ensuring effective and efficient assessment, treatment planning, treatment implementation, and evaluation of recreational and leisure activities that are appropriate and designed to increase capacity of consumers in meaningful leisure time as part of a multi-disciplinary setting.
The Diversional Therapist is also responsible for undertaking designated administrative tasks necessary to support service delivery.

Recognised Degree in Diversional Therapy or other qualification deemed appropriate by the employer, with eligibility for membership with the Diversional Therapy Association of Australia National Council Demonstrated experience in providing diversional therapy interventions with mental health consumers in a group and 1:1 formats Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Demonstrated evidence of knowledge and participation in the implementation of quality improvement and evidence based practice processes Excellent written and verbal communication skills and computer literacy in a range of programs Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional education Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2).
Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment.
