Teaching - Secondary (Education & Training)
Are you looking for a unique and rewarding position as a diverse learning teacher?
Tradewind is working with an all-girls Independent Catholic School in St Ives who are looking for a diverse learning teacher who is passionate about inclusive education.
Duties will include working with students in years 7-12.
This is a 12-month parental leave position beginning in term 1 2025.
Selection Criteria
Qualifications in Diverse Learning - Formal qualifications that provide expertise in supporting diverse learners, especially those with moderate intellectual and language needs.
Experience in Supporting Diverse Learners - Practical experience in assisting students with both academic and pastoral needs to promote comprehensive student growth and success.
Teaching English, History or Religion (Highly Advantageous) Knowledge of Diverse Learning Theory and Practice - A sound understanding of contemporary methods, strategies, and research in diverse learning to inform teaching practices and improve student outcomes.
Collaboration Skills - The ability to work closely with both academic and pastoral staff to create an inclusive environment that supports individualized learning goals.
Parental and External Liaison Skills - Effective communication with parents and external providers to develop and monitor Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) for students, ensuring their educational, social, and personal needs are met.
Prerequisites:
Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree, or 75% complete) Valid Working with Children Check (for employment purposes) Have unrestricted working rights in Australia Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references Statements of service The School:
