The position will operationally manage a number of Team Leaders within the Cultural Assessment Liaison Team, within the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Wellbeing Assessment Engagement Services, Mental Health Service Group (MHSG). The position will support the Program Manager, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Wellbeing Assessment Engagement Service and Cultural Assessment and Liaison Team Leaders to provide strategic direction to the Mental Health Service Group to ensure safe, responsive, and culturally appropriate services are delivered to Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people accessing the Townsville Hospital and Health Service Mental Health Services. The position will liaise closely with the Team Leaders to integrate the role of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Worker within clinical pathways of care and ensure services provided to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are culturally safe and responsive. Provide cultural supervision to members of the Cultural Assessment Liaison Team and Mental Health Service Group Clinicians as required.
