This role will oversee and lead our new operations in Acacia Ridge and another regional location in Queensland. You will report to the National Distribution Operations Manager , based at our head office in Melbourne.Role Overview:The State Manager role offers flexibility, with a blend of overnight and daytime shifts, enabling a healthy work-life balance. You will have the autonomy to structure your hours to meet business objectives effectively.Key Responsibilities:Oversee efficient and safe scheduling and planning to meet both customer demands and business goals.Manage the profit and loss for Queensland operations, including preparing reports and taking corrective actions to meet financial targets.Monitor and improve delivery performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and business objectives.Ensure full compliance with legal requirements such as driver fatigue regulations, mass and weight management, load restraints, and safety standards.Conduct mandatory driver training and manage driver performance, ensuring all records are updated regularly.Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, addressing any issues or concerns, and coordinating with external transport contractors.Ensure adequate staffing levels by managing recruitment and labor sourcing to meet operational and customer demands.Lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and quality, aligning with business objectives.Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, including workplace health and safety (WHS) legislation.Training and Support:Before starting in Queensland, you will receive comprehensive training and familiarization with our operations in Melbourne, ensuring a smooth transition into this new role.
