Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated HV Switching Operator who can demonstrate experience across a range of HV Electrical Installations, together with a sound understanding of safe work practices.
Duties will include: Planning and Delivering HV switching works to the Western Power Network. HV Switchgear installation, maintenance and testing. Maintenance planning and outage optimisation. Assembly and erection of poles, towers, steelwork and ancillaries. Installation of cable tray, ladder and electrical wiring. Installation of pole mounted switchgear & lighting, underground conduits and cables, switchboards and distribution boards. Testing and commissioning activities. Building and maintaining power distribution networks. Fault finding in electrical installations. Compliance with installation documentation provided. Compliance with quality and safety programs. Liaison with clients on site. Supervision of Electrical Apprentices. Relevant Qualifications & Experience Essential: Authority to work on the Western Power Network. HV Switching Ticket. Linesman – Cert III Linesman Certificate. Current "HR" class Driver's Licence. OHS Construction Induction Card. National Police Clearance. Working at heights qualifications.
