Our Mackay Lifeline Warehouse are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dedicated person to support our Distribution Team as a General Hand - Distribution Centre Assistant in our Mackay Distribution Centre on a Casual basis.The possession of a MR licence is essential.Should you accept the challenge, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Operate baling machine to support export production and facilitate the storage of goods.Manually move crates/items to ensure that the process line has a continual supply of stock for production.Truck deliveries and pickups.Assist with loading and unloading of trucks.Assist Sorting staff with day to day operations.Maintain work stations and storage areas in a clean and tidy manner, in accordance with workplace health and safety regulations, including moving stock and rubbish to allocated areas.Ensure equipment is maintained in a fully operational condition and report any maintenance or safety issues to relevant supervisor.Ensure all paperwork relative to your role is recorded accurately and on a daily basis.Responsible for the quality of their own work.Co-ordinate work in a team environment under limited supervision.Maintain confidentiality and privacy in all matters relating to staff, customers, procedures and security.Undertake other duties as directed by your supervisor within the scope of the position and abide by all relevant policies, procedures, standards and legislation as they apply to the position.What makes a difference for us?To be successful in this role, we will be looking for the following skills and attributes:Be passionate about Lifeline and be able to articulate its purpose.MR Licence.Previous experience working within a warehousing environment with skills in stock control, rotation and order picking.Demonstrate enthusiasm and eagerness to learn the fundamentals of all Store and Distribution roles, including but not limited to customer service and stock control.Ability to communicate.Setting and exceeding priorities to meet daily deadlines; developing plans to meet short-term objectives.Exceptional attention to detail, organisational and planning skills.Strong problem solving and influencing skills.We'd love you to be part of our UnitingCare family.Child safe, Child friendly: UnitingCare is committed to being a Child Safe, Child Friendly organisation and will:Provide welcoming, safe & nurturing services for children.Implement measures to prevent child abuse and neglect within our services.Appropriately and immediately address child abuse and neglect if it does occur.Diversity & Inclusion: Our approach is simple – everybody is welcome here.
