Job Summary:In this role, you will provide technical guidance to promote consistency across projects, customers, and business lines. You will provide detailed review and support to capital cost estimates, cash flow, working capital assessments, and to the preparation of estimate documentation. Your recommendations ensure accurate cost estimations and will be essential in driving project profitability and success.
This position is designated as part-time telework per our global policy and may require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership. Major Responsibilities:Performs quantity takeoffs for a discipline or commodity specialty using defined documents.Reviews design scope criteria and develops quantities for undefined scope assumptions in coordination with other stakeholders/departments.Participates in establishing pricing structures to be applied to quantities for estimates.Conducts detail pricing for non-manual labour service using functional staffing and other direct cost (ODC) inputs.Supports the development of project-specific tools and templates to gather appropriate quantity and labour/ODC information.Other responsibilities as designated.Education and Experience Requirements:Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.Required Knowledge and Skills:Experience in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects, typically including major infrastructure projects in the renewables, heavy civil, or defence infrastructure fields.Demonstrated experience in infrastructure project execution processes, procedures and implementation of industry best practices and lessons learned.Proficient in estimating applications used for discipline estimates and basic knowledge of general estimating systems currently being used by Bechtel (Microsoft Suite of Tools, Expert Estimator, HCSS, etc.).Previous estimating or project controls experience will be highly regarded.Working Rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
