The Opportunity As the Discipline Leader - Mechanical , you will be integral to lead and grow technical disciplines, ensuring profitability, timely delivery and client satisfaction. Assist in the development and implementation of the BC business plan and contribute to growing the Energy & Resources Business.
The Discipline Leader - Mechanical also provides technical leadership to complex multi-disciplinary projects. Guiding, supporting, mentoring engineers, designers, clients and stakeholders to deliver significant programs of work.
This role requires significant component of marketing and business development with external and internal clients. This position interacts throughout Stantec's global organization internally and externally with clients and members of business and professional organisations.

Qualifications To be successful in this role: Bachelor's degree in engineering – Mechanical.
Minimum 12 years of progressively responsible technical and management experience.
Professional registration and commitment to gain appropriate Australian registration.
Project Management experience and certifications
Development of a strong network in the local and national marketplace.
Exceptional organisational, technical, leadership, written and oral communication skills.
You will have proven experience successfully delivery complex projects, working with high performing teams. Excellent organisation and time management skills are a given, along with a high level of financial competency, and an ability to prioritise tasks and multi-task to ensure deadlines are achieved.
